Sarah and I went to college together – we both took the few photography classes and happened to both live relatively close to each other in the middle of nowhere. In college, I photographed Sarahs sisters wedding. When she and James asked us to photograph theirs, we were beyond excited. Not only because we were getting to photograph their family again (seriously, the most photogenic family ever.) but because Sarah and James had put SO much thought into every aspect of their day. Their venue was made beautiful by them – a true barn cleaned out, patched up holes, and airy windows. The room was full of laughter, dancing, singing, and general joy for this positively sweet couple who are truly meant to be. xx
The joining of these two families was beyond beautiful. Every bit of the day was so family oriented – with Marks kids being involved as much as possible. It was beautiful, creative, laid back, and heart-felt. Kristin + Mark chose to do a first look (which we ALWAYS recommend!) We chose a secluded spot between the cherry blossoms for their moment alone and told Mark not to peak ; )
When Kristin rounded the corner and they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day, you could see all the worry, anxiousness, and fear slip away. Gosh, the love! It was absolutely beautiful. We toured the grounds a bit for some photos, then took the two of them to the entrance to take advantage of Eastlynns row of pines.
The ceremony + reception were full of diy details (our favorite!) The arrangements were made by the bride and her wedding party during a “floral party” with a local florist. Such a creative idea, and so fun to be able to create something true to your liking. Everyone killed it on the dance floor, and the DJ (Crown Entertainment) was a hit – bringing the mike out for some intense sing-along to the classics. It was an absolutely perfect day for such a sweet couple.
