black friday, simplified.

i’m not a black friday shopper, per say – more of a black friday observer. the last few years when the clock strikes midnight, you can find me in the center of the mall, starbucks in hand, watching the craziness unfold. its like a free sporting event – honestly! most of our shopping is done in the comfort of our own home, and most of it is not from big chain stores.

we have chosen to go with four gifts for each kiddo, as well as a few small stocking stuffers because i just cant quit stockings. our gifts of choice are one thing they want, one thing they need, one to wear, and one to read.

olivers four gifts are this jeep set, this pullover, this book, and this water bottle

maribelles are this sweatshirt, this hairbrush, this book of poems – and we’re thinking her “one thing she wants” can be a big container of puffs, as she’s still a bit too young to be wanting anything but food and mamas milk.

for those that have a specific store item in mind – for example, my mom wanting another of that exact knife set she already owns from khols, we’ve been using ebates.

if you sign up through the above link, i’ll get about $100 after three have used their site. then post your own link to your family and friends and you can do the same! a few notable cash back deals they have going on right now are:
6% cash back at khols, jc penny, and nordstrom
8% at althleta, gap, and old navy
4% at american eagle, alternative apparel, and the art of shaving
up to SEVEN% back from select amazon purchases (say whatttt?!)

so whether you are shopping big name store, small business, or a mix of the two — shop smart.
cozy up with a belly full of turky and hit the web, then watch all those wild people duke it out for the cheapest washcloths from a distance. ; )
